Isn't this just business analysis?
Business analysis documents what exists. We also measure it with system data, redesign it and produce a specification your build team can implement, including who handles each exception.
Can you do this without process-mining software?
Yes. When data volume allows, log exports and spreadsheets are enough. We can use a process-mining platform, such as UiPath Process Mining, when scale justifies it.
Do you only redesign, or also implement?
Both. The same team can carry the redesigned process into build, or hand you a specification that your team or another partner implements.
